Allendale's WASDE Estimates

Corn - Old crop ethanol usage is increased while exports are lowered. Argentina's crop is estimated at 25.5 mt while Brazil is seen at 73.5 mt. For new crop, USDA will use the March 28 planting, normal harvested acreage, and trend yield adjusted for planting progress. Allendale's production estimate assumes USDA will uses 97.282 planted, 89.520 harvested, and a 159.40 yield.


Soybeans - Argentina's crop is estimated at 51.0 mt while Brazil is seen at 82.0 mt. For new crop, USDA will use the March 28 planting, normal harvested acreage, and trend yield. Allendale's production estimate assumes 3.392 billion production from 77.126 planted, 76.230 harvested, and a 44.5 yield.


Wheat - No changes were made to old crop demand. The 2.120 billion new crop production assumes 56.440 planted, 47.793 harvested, and a 44.4 yield. Our hard red winter estimate assumes USDA's 28.9 million acre planted, 22.3 million harvested (77.0%), and 37.5 bushels per acre. The five year average is for an 80.2% harvested and 39.5 yield.
