Individual state winners were also awarded.
According to Tom Strachota, Dairyland Seed General Manager, "American farmers play a substantial role in both feeding the world and helping the U.S. economy. Yields like these from Waletich and McQuillen indicate a bright future.”
“While national average yields were depressed in 2012 due to the severe drought, they were much improved from the droughts levels of 1988. We must do our part and continue to provide farmers improved genetics, improved methods and improved science, including biotechnology," said Strachota.
