New group for dairy professionals available at BeckAgConnects
BeckAgConnects, an online community for those in agriculture, is pleased to announce a new discussion group for the dairy industry. The group, “The Dairy Connection Point,” is an opportunity for dairy producers and ag professionals from across the country to connect and exchange information in a secure environment, since members of the BeckAgConnects community are screened during the registration process and must meet certain minimum criteria to validate they are part of the ag industry.
“The BeckAgConnects community now has more than 6,800 members – all of which are active in the North American ag industry. As BeckAgConnects keeps growing, we will continue to add discussion groups like “The Dairy Connection Point” for specific members of the industry so that they can easily connect and learn from each other,” said Margaret Oldham, Director of Innovation and Opportunity for Beck Ag.
“The Dairy Connection Point” will feature insight on a wide range of topics related to operating a profitable dairy operation, such as milk production efficiency, milk quality, reproductive performance, cattle health, and business profitability. The group will also give members the opportunity to access dairy experts and professionals. The moderator for the discussion group will be JoDee Sattler, a 40-year dairy industry veteran. JoDee’s diverse dairy background includes experiences varying from showing dairy at international competitions to serving as a dairy marketing cooperative’s public relations manager.
“This new group is a great opportunity for dairy producers and industry professionals to connect and talk about production issues that are important to them -- without having to worry about the watchful eyes and ears of consumer or anti-production agriculture audiences joining in,” said Oldham. “Dairy professionals have long been known in the ag industry as some of the most innovative producers, as well as very active within social media–- we’re excited to have a spot on BeckAgConnects just for them,” said Oldham.
In addition to “The Dairy Connection Point,” members of the BeckAgConnects community also have access to 6 different discussion groups that are led and moderated by subject matter experts. These discussion groups feature topics such as farm policy and commodity marketing, and provide timely information on the topics most relevant to the agricultural marketplace.
If you are part of the ag industry and have not yet joined the site, simply go to www.beckagconnects.com and click on "join now". This will take you through a very simple registration process. Once you are registered, you can join “The Dairy Connection Point” by clicking on "View All Groups and Forums", the discussion group title, and then “join this group.”
