RWDCA welcomes Troester
The Red and White Dairy Cattle Association has hired Anna Troester as their full-time Assistant Manager. Anna will be located at the office in Clinton, Wisconsin. With this role, she will be assisting with bookkeeping, accounting, herdbook management and processing of registrations, transfers, classifications and show reports.
Anna has an extensive background in the dairy industry. She grew up on her family’s registered Holstein farm, MAARS Holsteins, near Garnavillo, Iowa. Anna became active in the dairy industry at a young age participating in Holstein Quiz Bowl, Holstein Jeopardy, dairy judging and showing registered Holsteins and Red and Whites. She has shown at all levels including World Dairy Expo. Anna is a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Science with a dairy emphasis and has a Biology minor. At Platteville, Anna was heavily involved in clubs and organizations. She was the treasurer of the Pioneer Dairy Club and was on the selection committee for the annual Pioneer Dairy Classic. Also, Anna was a member of the Sigma Alpha sorority, Agriculture Student Council and the Pioneer Dairy Judging team. During the fall of 2011, she interned with Genex, CRI in their genetics department selecting and picturing daughters for the December 2011 proof release. Anna is active in her community by being the chairman of the Clayton County Fair Queen contest and helping on the Clayton County Fair Board. She strives to help the younger dairy members of her community to become involved with the many activities. Anna has most recently worked for an embryo export company coordinating all the shipments for export in Boonsboro, Maryland. Also in this role, she covered shows, sales and updated the website. Before this, Anna worked on her home farm managing the show animals, registering and keeping up the bookwork for registrations.

Founded in 1964, the Red & White Dairy Cattle Association has been located in Crystal Spring, Pennsylvania since 1975 and Clinton, Wisconsin since 2009. The RWDCA strives to encourage and promote the progressive breeding and development of superior Red & White Dairy Cattle by providing breeders with information, programs, and services to help track, evaluate, and improve the breed from one generation to the next. The Association is based on the principle of an open herdbook and currently serves over 1,300 members.
