Stewart-Peterson announces new employees, promotion

Stewart-Peterson announces the addition of Rob Joyce and Kelly Pfiefer to its commercial and agricultural sales teams, respectively, and the promotion of Matt Strelow to account manager in the agricultural sales division.

Joyce brings an extensive background in risk management and commodities to Stewart-Peterson. He joined from Iron Lion Capital Management, where he was a managing partner focused on farmland investment and investor relationships. Prior to that, Joyce was a commodity trader with Crabel Capital Management and director of research at Infinite Alpha Capital Management. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural economics and business administration through Purdue and Indiana universities.

Pfiefer will create and implement ways to grow the firm’s agricultural market share, relying on her track record of business development. Most recently, she served as Platinum Supplemental Insurance’s personnel recruiting manager, where she placed employees who worked directly with farmers. Pfiefer gained sales and marketing experience at Naturally Raw, Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance and The Firm Consulting. She holds a marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Strelow will support client acquisition and retention. He will help refine processes, aid client services and help create initiatives geared toward client growth and support. Strelow continues to serve as a business development consultant.
