Todd Kranz joins Select Sires Inc. as Chief Development Officer
Todd Kranz has been named chief development officer at Select Sires Inc. In this position, Kranz will direct and manage revenue generation planning, lead the execution of strategic business and marketing plans and oversee customer service strategies and product management execution.
“I am excited to add Todd’s experience and demonstrated success to the tremendous team of leaders at Select Sires,” explained David Thorbahn, president and chief executive officer. “Todd has exciting, new ideas that, in combination with the current industry leadership here, will make for a bright future for Select Sires and its customer-owners.”
Kranz has a long, successful career in business development leadership. After graduating with distinction from the dairy science honors program at The Ohio State University, Kranz owned and operated a dairy farm in northern Ohio. The farm was later transitioned to a family member, and Kranz began his career in the A.I. industry where he managed local, regional and national sales teams for 22 years. Most recently he was employed by Cargill AgHorizons as the greater Ohio farm service group sales leader. Kranz also has a Master of Science degree in management from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.
“I’m glad to be back in the dairy business,” said Kranz. “Spending the past two years in the grain merchandising business has allowed me to gain a valuable perspective on the agricultural industry. Additionally, the opportunity to work for one of the largest privately-held firms in the world was a learning experience.”
Kranz and his wife Kelly live in Dublin, Ohio, and have two grown children, Ryan and Erin. He is an active member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where he is a past council president. Kranz is a past board member of the North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge and currently serves on the Muirfield Country Club Foundation board of directors. He has been recognized by The Ohio State University College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences as a recipient of the Meritorious Service to Students award and the Distinguished Alumni award.
