WUD director nominations deadline is Dec. 16
Nominations are being accepted for candidates interested in running for a seat on the Western United Dairymen (WUD) board of directors. To be eligible to run, a candidate must fill out a nomination form, which can be downloaded by clicking here and return it to the WUD office no later than Monday, Dec. 16.
Each year one-third of the WUD board of directors are elected to a three-year term. Directors may be elected for no more than three consecutive terms. Any member in good standing may run for director. After nominations close, ballots will be prepared and mailed to all voting members.
This year’s open seats are listed below. Director terms expiring this year and the director is not eligible for re-election: Justin Gioletti, District 5, Stanislaus County and Jamie Bledsoe, District 7, Madera and Fresno counties. Director terms expiring this year and the director is eligible for re-election: Lucas Deniz, District 3, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Marin counties; Luis Borba, District 6, Merced, Monterey, Santa Cara and San Benito counties; Tom Barcellos, District 8m Tulare County and John Goyenetche, District 11, Kern, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
