New leadership for HolsteinWorldPrint
Two members of the DairyBusiness staff have accepted new leadership roles with HolsteinWorld, the breed’s leading U.S. publication since 1904.
Randall S. “Randy” Blodgett has been named HolsteinWorld publisher. In his new position, Blodgett will oversee HolsteinWorld’s print, digital and online media, leading marketing and editorial content teams.
Blodgett, an experienced professional photographer and videographer, has dramatically expanded the reach of HolsteinWorld on Facebook and other digital media, driving the web traffic to the highest of any dairy media. Since joining DairyBusiness in 2011, his development of HolsteinWorld’s real-time, online bidding service has created new opportunities for sale managers, buyers and consignors. Blodgett will also continue as DairyBusiness Digital Marketing Manager and videographer.
Blodgett’s dairy background includes successfully breeding, managing and marketing Winning-Way Registered Holsteins. He holds a BS degree in marketing from Albright College, Reading, Penn. Blodgett will continue to work from his home office in Bensalem, Penn.
Kayla Jentz has been named HolsteinWorld editor. In her new position, Jentz will develop and manage editorial content for HolsteinWorld and its website, www.holsteinworld.com. She succeeds Karen Knutsen, who accepted a position with a West Coast AI firm after 10 years with HolsteinWorld.
Jentz grew up with Registered Holsteins and holds a BS degree in Life Sciences Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She held numerous internships and communications positions in the dairy industry prior to joining DairyBusiness in 2011.
Jentz served as Associate Editor of DairyBusiness East magazine, while also managing content on dairybusiness.com and its social media sites. She most recently served as Managing Editor of DairyBusiness Weekly, the industry’s first digital-only dairy magazine. Jentz will continue to work from her home office near Belleville, Wis.
