The initiative’s goals are to preserve the freedom of dairy producers to use FDA-approved technologies and protect milk’s positive image. The initiative has evolved out of concerns voiced by dairymen and the effort of DairyBusiness Communications to communicate these concerns to the industry at large.

Individual producers across the country have raised this issue on a local level, but often experience frustration with responses they are given by their cooperative, processor or other industry group. Rather than compromise their futures, these producers have organized meetings on a regional level, and are now reaching out to expand their effort to a national level.
