California 4a/4b prices announced

California June 2013 Class 4a/4b prices were announced July 1, but they didn't receive the small boost from the California Department of Food & Agriculture’s temporary adjustment to minimum milk pricing formulas. Those adjustments will be felt in prices paid for milk delivered to plants between July 1-Dec. 31, 2013.
The June 2013 California Class 4a milk prices is $18.39/cwt., up 15¢ from May 2013 and $5.22 more than June 2012. It brings the 2013 average 4a price to $17.94/cwt., $3.29 more than the same period in 2012.
The June 2013 California Class 4b price is $15.91/cwt., down $1.29 from May, but $1.26 more than June 2012. The 2013 average 4b price is $16.05/cwt., up $2.22 from the same  period in 2012.
Federal order June Class II, III & IV prices are announced July 3.
