NSP, Other Organizations Urge Inclusion of Japan into TPP

National Sorghum Producers and other food and agriculture organizations sent a letter Tuesday to the White House urging the United States and other countries in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations to welcome Japan into trade talks as soon as possible.

Japan recently announced its intention to join the TPP negotiations, which currently include Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States and Vietnam. In the letter sent to President Obama, the coalition said the inclusion of Japan in the trade talks would generate enormous interest and support in U.S. agriculture. To read the entire letter, you can visit the NSP website.
