PDPW's Calf Care Connection is next week
Next week’s Calf Care Connection program for dairy farmers, veterinarians and nutritionists
JUNEAU, Wis. -- Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW) is hosting two workshops to help dairy producers and those responsible for calf care on dairy farms create exceptional care in extreme weather conditions.
It is not too late to register for a Calf Care ConnectionTM program November 12 in Fennimore, Wis. and repeated November 13 in Cleveland, Wis., from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The hands-on workshop will cover topics such as minimizing stillbirths, effectively vaccinating calves, managing dietary needs with fluctuating weather, and a panel discussion featuring three seasoned dairy producers sharing their best calf-raising practices. Q&A and networking time with the four presenters and three panelists will give attendees the opportunity to learn from the industry’s foremost experts on calf care.

PDPW Calf Care Connection is an accredited training program with the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine (UW-SVM) and veterinarians may receive up to 5.9 CEUs for attending this workshop. The workshop also has been pre-approved by the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) for 5 CEUs.
