Sign Up for Next-Level “Passing the Torch” Transition Planning Workshop on November 12

Center for Dairy Excellence

With over 94 dairy producers joining us at the “Passing the Torch” Transition Planning workshop series over the past year, it’s evident that transition planning is a complicated and important process that many dairy farm

families are facing. There are a variety of financial, legal, accounting, and lifestyle considerations to think about. It’s not too late to sign up for the November 12th workshop in Bird in Hand, PA.

Since transition planning looks very different for every family, we have outside advisors joining us at this workshop to help your family take transition planning to the next level. You’ll hear a more in-depth discussion about business structures and plans, learn about pre-nuptials, post-nuptials, and how to structure them, and get more examples and case studies of different transition plans. Hear from other dairy producers who have attended these workshops in the past:

“Thank you for giving us a platform and context to start very difficult conversations. Very helpful – even just to begin a starting point.“

“This workshop was great! It gave us an idea of what we need to do next.“

“I learned farm transition planning is critical to the success of the next generation to be successful. They don’t just happen without forethought and planning.“

Hosted by Penn State Extension and the Center for Dairy Excellence, the workshop onNovember 12 is designed to go beyond the basics and includes lunch. If you have attended one of our previous “Passing the Torch” workshops, this event is designed to take those topics to the next level with a deeper dive. Click here to sign up today!
