Fun in the West Sale Brings $1.9 Million

            With 20 Holsteins over 2800 GTPI, the 49 lots of Holsteins and Jerseys sold for a total of $1,917,000 on Feb. 24 in Paso Robles, Calif.  The 42 Holstein lots averaged $40,060 while seven Jersey’s, the first of that breed in this sale series, averaged $33,500.  The lineup featured young calves all sold in absentia and the sale was held in at the Paso Robles Inn in the heart of California’s Central Coast wine region.  Bidding was active on site and there was plenty of activity online and on the phones.  This sale series was begun and continues under the management of The Cattle Exchange, featuring the breed’s highest value genetics sold in attractive locations.  Dave and Merry Rama as sale managers and hosts always help those attending enjoy the event.
