The Ohio Holstein Association hosted their annual sale and meeting March 10 and 11 in eastern Ohio. The two-day event kicked off with the sale at the Holmes County Fairground in Millersburg, Ohio. Managed by the Ohio Holstein Association, Randall Kiko, Ohio Holstein Association president and auctioneer for Kiko Auctions cried the sale with Ted Renner reading pedigrees. The average on 67 head was $3,070. Topping the sale was lot 1, a December 2016 Triplecrown Gatedancer-ET daughter out of OCD Supersire 9882-ET VG-86. Selling as the highest GTPI daughter of her dam and sold to date in Ohio, Pine-Tree 9882 Gate 7345-ET was consigned by Matthew Steiner, Pine Tree Dairy of Marshallville, Ohio. The calf was purchased by Oakfield Corners Dairy of New York for $32.000.

Second-high seller of the day was consigned by Springhill-Joyride of Big Prairie, Ohio. Lot 2, Pine-Tree 6481 Jedi 7055-ET is an April 2016 Jedi daughter with +2771 GTPI out of S-S-I PT 8433…
