What You Will Do
Work in the PRO-DAIRY Dairy Environmental Systems Program to assist and collaborate with team members and possibly select other Animal Science Faculty on a series of applied research and extension projects including: monitor and report cow barn environments, heat stress mitigation techniques and their success, anaerobic digestion, manure treatments, lab work on manure characteristics and/or soil and water conservation practices design and implementation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborate to develop and deliver extension/outreach materials to target audiences.
- Perform field/sample collection and system analysis/evaluations.
- Clean and maintain field equipment and instrumentation.
- Utilize software packages such as Onset HOBOware, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to contribute to system designs and evaluation.
- Organize and deliver webinars.
This is a full-time position and will be located in Ithaca, New York. This is a 1-year appointment with possible extension. Future possible extensions depend on funding and performance.
