Farm Credit East Presents Teen Employment Webinar

Many farms hire minors after school or in the summer. Employees under 18 can be an important part of the labor force, however, there are certain rules that apply when employing minors. Join Farm Credit East on Wednesday, May 25, at 12 p.m. for a webinar with Michael Harrington of FordHarrison LLP, a law firm focused on human resources. 

This webinar will cover federal regulations, as well as the rules that apply in New York, New Jersey and New England. Harrington will discuss some of the complex regulations that apply, including limitations on hours worked, rules that vary with age, restrictions on what types of work can be performed, and more. We will also cover regulations that apply to internships, apprenticeships and volunteers working on farms.
