Leadership Boot Camp Training Series

The Leadership Boot Camp Training Series is hosted by the Promotion and Education Committee and serves as a fast-paced, challenging, one-day training session. Boot Camp gives Farm Bureau members the opportunity to get leadership development training but only commit to a few hours of training. The committee recognizes that not all individuals can commit the time to be involved in the WFBF Leadership Institute class. With more than 10 completed classes of the WFBF Leadership Institute, this event can serve as a refresher for those graduates on certain topics.

Join the WFBF Promotion and Education Committee for Leadership Boot Camp on Saturday, October 28 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Fond du Lac. The topic for this year’s Boot Camp will be ‘Storytelling Strategies’. Attend this training to learn effective consumer outreach tactics, hear from 35 Under 35 panelists about their sustainable storytelling successes and discover new avenues to share the state’s agriculture story with the Gather Wisconsin website.

Registration is $20 and includes lunch, refreshments and all materials. Volunteers planning to attend the Ag in the Classroom Volunteer Rally on October 27 can register for both events at a discounted package rate of $30.

Saturday, October 28

• 9:00 a.m. – Welcome
• 9:15 a.m. – Opening Keynote, Lady Farmer Darci Daniels
• 10:30 a.m. – Sustainable Storytelling Panel, 35 Under 35 Finalists
• 12:00 p.m. – Lunch (provided)
• 1:15 p.m. – Gather Wisconsin, Cassie Sonnentag
• 2:30 p.m. – Closing Comments

NEW! LaClare Family Creamery Tour and Dinner

For those attending the Ag in the Classroom Volunteer Rally on October 27 or traveling the night before, join us Friday evening for a tour and meal at LaClare Family Creamery. Learn about the cheeses and cheesemaking operations and enjoy dinner featuring artisan cheeses. Advance registration is required and an additional $15 fee applies.

A block of rooms is being held for Friday night at the Radisson Hotel, 625 Rolling Meadows Drive, Fond du Lac. Call 920.923.1440 and ask for the ‘WI Farm Bureau Foundation’ room block. Rooms must be reserved by October 1 to receive the discounted $129+tax rate.
