NIAA Annual Conference: HPAI session added and rates increase April 2

National Institute for Animal Agriculture

Annual Conference – The Next Generation of Animal Agriculture, will be hosted in Kansas City at the Kauffman Foundation, April 8 – 10, 2024. Due to the recent news of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) spreading across species, there will be an update from experts and a roundtable discussion on April 9.

With the recent announcements of HPAI infections in goats and mature dairy cows, animal agriculture is faced with a new disease affecting animal health. While much about these new infections is being researched and explored, this time during the annual conference will be dedicated to a status update and conversations on animal agriculture moving forward, together, on research, communications, and education.
