Keynote Sessions:
- Past 20 Years of Dairy – Audrey Donahoe, dairy producer from ATRASS Farm, will lead this reflective and insightful discussion. She’ll discuss the past 20 years of dairy, highlighting the changes over the years and sharing information on the return on investment for farmers as programs changed.
- Next 20 Years of Dairy – Joanna Shipp, a Virginia dairy producer and Chairperson of the National Dairy Promotion & Research Board, will lead this keynote session as we look to the future of the dairy industry. She’ll talk about what the future of dairy looks like through innovation, export opportunities, and sustainable ag practices.
Breakout Sessions:
- Human Resources on the Farm – Crystal Grimaldi from Ideal Dairy LLC will discuss how to foster engagement with your dairy farm team and encourage them to perform at their best. She will share helpful HR practices that provide structure and consistency.
- Socially Raised Calves – Melissa Cantor, Assistant Professor of Precision Dairy Science at Penn State University, will lead this session and provide takeaways you can apply directly on the farm.
- Resources and Opportunities for Your Dairy – Jordan Peek will be discussing a variety of opportunities available for farms such as local industry partnerships, economic development organizations, and workforce development boards/career links. Jayne Sebright will be talking about the Center and how it can help farmers, including the Climate-Smart Team Grant.
- Protecting Your Information (Cyber Security) – John Henry, Lecturer at Penn State Mont Alto, will dive into the importance of protecting your information to minimize cybersecurity threats.
