The Comté Cheese Association is thrilled to announce its thirteenth annual Comté Scholarship for American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professionals™ (ACS CCP™s)! This special scholarship opportunity is open to all cheese experts who have passed the Certified Cheese Professional™ Exam. It gives CCPs the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Comté region of France to learn first-hand about the cheese’s history and production, as well as to explore the Comté region and its culture. In addition, this year the winner will receive a $750 cash stipend.
To apply for the scholarship, ACS CCPs must submit an entry form with a short essay by Sunday, December 7, 2025. This year’s essay question revolves around interest in specialty cheese and Comté in particular, among consumers under 40.
As a long-standing member of the American Cheese Society (ACS), the Comté Cheese Association (CIGC) recently established a separate fund to sponsor applicants who have been accepted to take the Certified Cheese Professional® (CCP) exam and seek to attend the American Cheese Society’s annual conference.
