CowManager Adds Four Key Team Members to Strengthen U.S. Operations and Boost Customer Success

CowManager, a global leader in smart cow monitoring solutions, is excited to announce the addition of four new members to its U.S. team: Guadalupe Ceja, Dr. Lori Nagel, Kirstin Novak and Megan Plamann. These strategic hires support CowManager’s ongoing mission to provide U.S. dairy producers with data-driven tools to enhance herd health, fertility, nutrition and overall profitability.

Guadalupe Ceja is currently working with CowManager while completing her Ph.D. in Animal Science at Texas A&M University. Her research emphasis is on precision livestock farming and dairy cow welfare. After graduation, Ceja will join CowManager fulltime as a Support Specialist, assisting with installations, customer training and daily monitoring to help producers maximize CowManager benefits. In addition, Ceja will provide Spanish-language support and translations, collaborating with farm management teams and helping interpret cow data to improve herd performance. Ceja holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Animal Science from Purdue University. With experience across multiple universities and research projects, Ceja’s focus on advancing dairy cow health and productivity will be a valuable asset to CowManager and its customers.

Dr. Lori Nagel, MS, DVM, joins CowManager as a Performance Specialist. An accomplished dairy industry professional with more than two decades of experience in veterinary medicine and animal science, Dr. Nagel will work directly with U.S. dairy producers to analyze herd data, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver actionable insights that enhance productivity and profitability. Prior to joining CowManager, Dr. Nagel served as Veterinary Technician Program Director and Agribusiness Department Chair at Fox Valley Technical College, where she led the creation and AVMA accreditation of the college’s Veterinary Technician program. She earned her DVM from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s in Reproductive Biology from the University of Missouri. Dr. Nagel’s extensive career spans clinical practice, co-ownership of a large dairy operation, on-farm dairy and renewable energy management, and higher education leadership. Her work has been supported by multiple state and institutional grants, and she remains active in several professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the National Mastitis Council, among others.

Kirstin Novak joins CowManager as Sales Administrator, where she will serve as a key link between sales, supply, finance and support departments. In this role, Novak brings valuable marketing and communications experience, backed by a strong foundation in agriculture and agribusiness. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management and minors in Entrepreneurship and Food Systems, Novak previously served as Marketing Coordinator for Ebert Enterprises, managing media relations, digital communications and promotional materials across the Ebert family of businesses. Novak also serves as Executive Secretary for the Wisconsin Association of Professional Agricultural Consultants, where she supports member engagement and organizational operations.

Megan Plamann has been named CowManager Solution Support Engineer, where she will provide advanced support and training to producers and industry partners, oversee system installations and collaborate with CowManager’s global teams to ensure seamless adoption of the company’s innovative solutions. Before joining CowManager, Plamann was a Support Technician with Valley Agricultural Software (VAS), offering technical expertise and customer support for DairyComp and related programs plus helping producers optimize data use and on-farm productivity. Plamann also spent more than a decade at Ebert Enterprises in multiple leadership roles, including Herd Manager, Feed Manager and Calf and Youngstock Manager. She was charged with leading teams, implementing precision technologies, and advancing herd health and welfare protocols across the family-owned 10,500-head dairy operation. Plamann is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a B.S. in Dairy Science and minors in Chemistry and Biology. She is recognized for her hands-on leadership, bilingual communication skills and results-driven management style.
