Join Us for a Virtual Office Hour Webinar!
People talk a lot about using antibiotics carefully to make sure they keep working well. But that doesn’t always line up with the real-life challenges dairy farmers deal with every day. This webinar will look at smart ways to use antibiotics to keep animals healthy, help farms succeed, and make sure antibiotics stay effective for the future. You will hear real-life examples and learn about practical decisions farmers make, like when to treat cows for mastitis, metritis, and youngstock respiratory disease.
After the presentations, the speakers will take part in a live Q&A session where you can ask questions and hear from a panel of experts.
Panel of Experts:
Brett Boyum, DVM, Dairy Production Veterinarian, Riverview LLP
Michael Capel, DVM, DABVP (Dairy Practice), Dairy Veterinarian, Perry Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Capel will be joined by a dairy producer.
Amy Vasquez, DVM, PhD, Assistant Professor, Quality Milk Production Services, Cornell.
Daryl Nydam, DVM, PhD, Professor, Public & Ecosystem Health, Cornell.
Moderator: Robert Lynch, DVM, Dairy Herd Health and Management Specialist, PRO-DAIRY, Animal Science, Cornell
Host: Renata Iavnek, DVM, PhD, Professor, Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences, Cornell
Virtual Office Hour Webinar is hosted in collaboration with the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine and PRO-DAIRY.
