It is property tax season. Spring installments were due this week but there is much discussion about assessment increases for

agriculture buildings. The increases vary from county to county with some being very significant. Below is a link to a presentation from Indiana Farm Bureau. It provides tips on what you should do if you are facing higher assessments on your buildings.

You have until June 15^th to file an appeal with your county assessor so keep that in mind. Rest assured, IDP will be joining Farm Bureau and other agriculture organizations to find legislative solutions to prevent increases to your property tax bills, but don’t wait…do what you can by contacting your county assessor now!
