Registration is now open for the Farm Business and Diversification Conference, Indiana Farm Bureau’s newest program created to offer farm families practical strategies and tools for expanding and strengthening their agricultural operations.
“The goal of this event is to encourage better investment in agriculture and our rural communities,” said Kendell Culp, INFB’s vice president. “That means creating more opportunities for passing the farm on to the next generation by ensuring our farm operations remain viable. Successful farm diversification is ultimately about resilience, community investment, and creating those paths for the next generation to stay connected to the land and family legacy.”
Breakout topics will cover alternative income streams, agricultural contracts, digital marketing, insurance and liability protection, and more.
Patrick Nycz, food business and marketing administrator for Purdue University, will lead a breakout on the food industry and launching a new product, and Caroline Patrick from Indiana Grown will moderate a panel of experts discussing direct-to-consumer models that have been successful.
