CowManager is bringing new innovations and new experiences to World Dairy Expo 2026. Under the banner “Know what’s next,” the company will showcase its expanding system of technologies designed to help dairy producers anticipate what’s happening across their herd and act with greater confidence.
“‘Know what’s next’ captures what CowManager has always been about and where we’re going next,” says Gerard Griffioen, founder of CowManager. “From the beginning, our goal has been to give producers information sooner, so they can recognize changes, make better decisions and take action at the right time. Today, we’re expanding that vision with new technologies that provide even more insight across the lifetime of the animal.”
Among the innovations on display will be the new CowManager Milk Sensor, which extends CowManager monitoring into udder health and the milking process. Installed as part of the unit near the teat end, the sensor monitors each individual quarter and measures conductivity, vacuum, milk temperature, milk yield and milk flow speed. By combining these milking insights with CowManager’s existing health, fertility, nutrition and transition monitoring, the new technology adds another layer of information about the individual cow. One of its most promising applications is earlier identification of mastitis, allowing producers to recognize changes at the individual-quarter level. The Milk Sensor can also help identify irregularities in the milking process, with alerts for suboptimal milking parlor performance. CowManager is introducing the technology in 2026, with broader availability planned for 2027.
CowManager is also introducing new Calving alerts, giving producers another way to know what’s next during one of the most critical periods in a cow’s production cycle. Using continuous data from the CowManager ear sensor, the technology recognizes changes associated with impending calving and alerts producers when a cow is approaching parturition. That advance notice can help producers focus their attention where and when it is needed most, reducing the need for repeated physical checks while helping ensure cows receive timely attention during the transition period.
“Innovation for us isn’t about collecting more data just for the sake of having more data,” says Jared Krull, Vice President of Sales & Services for CowManager USA. “It’s about turning that information into something a producer can use. We want CowManager to help answer the question every dairy producer faces every day: What needs my attention next?”
Krull will take the stage during World Dairy Expo as a guest of Zoetis for an educational session, “From Data to Decisions: Empowering Dairy Teams to Act with Confidence.” The session will explore how producers can better understand and use real-time data to guide day-to-day herd management decisions with confidence. The session takes placeThursday, October 1, at 1 p.m. on the Zoetis “Dairy On” stage in the lower level of the Coliseum
Coffeen and Abbott will sit down with legendary breeders, dairy industry leaders, innovators and visionaries for candid conversations that go beyond accomplishments to uncover the stories, unexpected moments and experiences behind some of the industry’s most familiar faces. Scheduled guests include Dr. Sheila McGuirk, Chris Hill, Bryan Voegeli, Clark Woodmansee, Katie DiGangi and Brian Leslie.
