The Champion of Agriculture Award, established by AAW in 2010, honors members of Congress who demonstrate exceptional leadership in promoting American agriculture, defending rural values, and upholding the U.S. Constitution. Each year, the award recognizes two members of the U.S. House of Representatives for their outstanding contributions to ag policy. “This year’s honorees exemplify the spirit of bipartisan advocacy for agriculture,” said Rose Tryon, President of American Agri-Women. “Their steadfast leadership has made a lasting impact on farmers, ranchers, and rural families across the country.” Congressman Jim Costa Congressman Derrick Van Orden AAW members from across the country gathered in Washington last week for the organization’s annual Fly-In, where they met with legislators, agency officials, and policymakers to advocate for issues impacting American agriculture. |
