The Lunch and Learn Event Will Be Held on January 7 at Keystone Farm Show

Dairy producers who are interested in exploring organic dairy opportunities, and existing producers who would like to learn more about the services available in the organic dairy space, are encouraged to attend the Organic Dairy Lunch & Learn Event at the Keystone Farm Show in York, Pennsylvania. The free event will be held on Wednesday, January 7 from 1-3 p.m.  Attendees will learn about the process of transitioning to organic, the benefits and challenges, and the differences in production practices. There will be opportunities to network with other organic dairy producers and speak one-on-one with organic processors and service providers. The event is hosted by the PA Agricultural Business Development Center, PA Department of Agriculture, and Center for Dairy Excellence.

“Under the Shapiro Administration, we are investing in the future of Pennsylvania agriculture by expanding opportunities for our dairy farmers and strengthening the growing organic market,” said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “Organic dairy continues to offer promising economic potential, and we are committed to giving producers the tools, technical support, and market access they need to make informed decisions about their operations. This Lunch & Learn reflects our ongoing work to ensure Pennsylvania’s dairy industry remains strong, competitive, and resilient for generations to come.”

During the free event, attendees will hear from a panel of organic dairy producers and get their questions answered from organic processors and service providers. Panelists include:

  • Todd Frescura, Horizon Organic, Sunrise Ridge, Latrobe, PA
  • Roman Stoltzfoos, Maple Hill Creamery, Springwood Organic Farm, Kinzers, PA
