Last week’s unprecedented flooding in British Columbia, Canada has left the province with many challenges, which are being felt throughout the agriculture and dairy community. Farmers and community members have rallied this week to evacuate thousands of cattle to farms on higher ground. But a full assessment of damages is yet unknown.

Many U.S. dairy farmers have inquired as to how they can assist their fellow dairy producers. Annie AcMoody of Dairy Farmers of Canada (formerly on staff at Western United Dairies in California) shares that the BC Dairy Association has set up an emergency fund that will support recovery efforts.
