Glezen Farms, a Maola Local Dairies™ member farm located in Lisle, New York, has been honored with the 2025 National Dairy Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) Excellence Award for Workforce Development, recognizing their outstanding leadership in employee management, safety, and professional growth.

The award was presented during the fifth annual FARM Excellence Awards ceremony, held at the 2025 Joint Annual Meeting of the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDB), and the United Dairy Industry Association (UDIA), in Arlington, Texas, on November 11. The FARM Excellence Awards celebrate farms and evaluators who go above and beyond industry standards through innovation and continuous improvement. The Workforce Development category honors farms that exemplify best practices in building, supporting, and sustaining a strong dairy workforce.

“Glezen Farms’ investment in its people, through education, training, and meaningful workplace support, sets an inspiring example for the entire industry,” said Lindsay Reames, Executive Vice President of Membership & Brand for Maola Local Dairies. An eighth-generation dairy operation, Glezen Farms is family-owned and operated by Scott and Laura Glezen, along with Scott’s father. The farm milks 2,400 cows and manages over 6,000 acres across four counties. Their leadership philosophy centers on fostering a workplace where employees feel respected, supported, and equipped to succeed.

Beyond their internal programs, Glezen Farms actively participates in the FARM Program and partners with Cornell Cooperative Extension and industry groups to host on-farm trainings and community education events. Their openness to sharing best practices and advocating for agriculture reflects their deep commitment to progress and public engagement.

The FARM Excellence Awards were created in 2021 to recognize outstanding efforts across the program’s key pillars: Animal Care & Antibiotic Stewardship, Environmental Stewardship, Workforce Development, and Evaluator Excellence.
