Waukesha native to lead partnership efforts for organization focused on the future of the dairy community
Natalie Glumm has been named the director of development for Professional Dairy Producers Foundation, also known as Dairy’s Foundation.
For 20 years, Dairy’s Foundation has been working to attract, support and cultivate the future of the dairy industry, funding programs around the country to bolster the next generation from youth through all career stages. With changing needs, evolving customer trends, and innovative technologies, the Dairy’s Foundation board recognized the opportunity to create the Director of Development position to increase funds and partnerships to support dairy education initiatives and programs across the country.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Natalie to the Dairy’s Foundation family,” said Brian Forrest, Dairy’s Foundation board chair and dairy producer from Stratford, Wis. “Natalie is committed to advancing the foundation’s mission and is enthusiastic about expanding our impact throughout the dairy community.”
Glumm is a native of Waukesha, Wis., and brings unique expertise from a diverse career spanning plastics sales management, manufacturing, and distribution to fundraising at nonprofits in higher education, health care, and human services.
“I’m looking forward to serving on and working with the Dairy’s Foundation team to partner with individuals and organizations from coast to coast and connect their philanthropic goals with Dairy’s Foundation mission and work to attract, support and cultivate the future of the dairy community,” said Glumm. “At Dairy’s Foundation, we believe education is the key to success of the dairy sector and the success of those following in our footsteps both inside and outside of dairy. We nurture, develop, and build those around us to do the work they were called to do: feed the world, protect our resources, and enhance society.”
Glumm earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix with a focus on organizational leadership. Her nonprofit career started by volunteering at non-profits in Waukesha, such as the Food Pantry, and The Women’s Center, where she quickly realized her passion for advancing the caring power in communities and made the decision to leave the manufacturing world and serve the non-profit world full-time. She has since worked at Carroll University, Arizona State University Foundation, Easterseals of Southeast Wisconsin, ProHealth Care Foundation, and most recently United Way of Dane County. Her experience and commitment to community gives her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for all and everything they serve.
The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation was established by Professional Dairy Producers in 2002 as a way to raise funds and awards grants for educational programs. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 entity. The only foundation in the country focused solely on serving the dairy community, their mission is to share ideas, resources and experiences about important dairy industry issues through educational opportunities for dairy producers and the public.
