PRO4 PROChiller Series and PROGreen CO₂ Chiller System will be on view for event attendees prior to installation at leading dairies.
The PRO4—sold and installed in partnership with long-time PRO Refrigeration dealer Prenger’s, Inc.—is the most advanced packaged chiller on the market today. It features modular, custom cooling capabilities with 5 mix-and-match compressor options across 4 independent circuits; a design that allows for efficient maintenance without service interruption; a smaller footprint enabling easier access and reduced shipping costs; and fully upgradeable circuits for easy adoption to evolving refrigerant regulations and technologies. PRO Refrigeration launched the PRO4 at the World Dairy Expo in October 2024.
The PROGreen—sold and installed with the help of PRO dealer San Joaquin Valley Dairy Equipment—is an advanced, hyper-efficient, carbon-neutral cooling system. Designed for refrigerant-grade CO₂, which receives the most optimal Global Warming Potential (GWP) rating, the chiller maximizes clean energy use and future-proofs operations while helping meet sustainability goals. The first PROGreen was installed in 2021 and has since received industry honors, including the 2022 EnVisioneer Award, presented by the manufacturing company Danfoss.
Both systems allow for the addition of PRO Refrigeration’s proven PRO Heat₂0 module that recovers waste heat to power facilities and/or supports heating processes.
“Dairies today are at a crossroads, with shifting business needs and evolving standards increasingly forcing them to invest in costly wholescale equipment upgrades,” said Jim VanderGiessen, CEO of PRO Refrigeration. “Such challenges spurred PRO engineers to design the industry’s most future-ready systems, helping our customers stay ahead of disruption while delivering exceptional cooling and reliability, even in the toughest conditions.”
PRO Refrigeration offers a wide range of additional, innovative cooling solutions, including its Chill&Flow™ and CHILStar™ Series for smaller production breweries, boutique winery and distillery applications; its MA Series, offering single and dual refrigeration circuits, a perfect solution for customers planning to expand capacity in the future; and its higher capacity V PISTON Series.
