Highlight Trump Administration Efforts to Unleash American Energy

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins visited the Hamm Institute at Oklahoma State University (OSU) with Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin for the Powering AI: Global Leadership Summit. The Cabinet members were joined by Representative Stephanie Bice and Representative Frank Lucas.

Through bold leadership to prioritize rural prosperity, support biofuels, reform permitting, and streamline regulations, this Administration is putting America First. I am proud to serve alongside a remarkable Cabinet who is determined to ensure America’s prosperity for generations to come,” said Secretary Rollins.

The Hamm Institute at Oklahoma State University is dedicated to American energy innovation, which is essential for national security and energy stability. Secretary Rollins recently published an opinion piece outlining some of the work USDA is doing to unleash American energy.

Under Secretary Rollins’ leadership, USDA is moving forward with speed, coordination, and shared resolve to ensure the United States remains a global energy leader. USDA has worked across agencies to share resources, reduce red tape, diversify energy resources, advance technology-driven stewardship, and prioritize American sovereignty. USDA coordinates with Secretary Wright to fast-track energy development, modernize infrastructure, and support industrial-scale innovation and Administrator Zeldin to ensure farmers have risk-based sound science for crop protection tools and market access for biofuels.

The Department of Energy is working with our counterparts at USDA and EPA to advance a strategy of energy addition—expanding energy production, modernizing infrastructure, and ensuring the U.S. has the capacity to drive and dominate the next era of global technological advancement.”

Pillar Four of my Powering the Great American Comeback Initiative is making the United States the AI capital of the world, and it will require reliable and efficient baseload energy sources. At EPA, we will do our part to achieve this under President Trump by ensuring data centers and related facilities that support AI can be powered and operated by unleashing clean, American-made energy,” said Administrator Zeldin.

“AI is advancing faster than our infrastructure. If America wants to lead in AI, it must also lead in energy,” said Dr. Ann Bluntzer Pullin, Executive Director of the Hamm Institute for American Energy. “This summit is about alignment, getting the right people in the right room to make sure innovation doesn’t outpace our ability to sustain it, which is something the Hamm Institute is uniquely able to do.”
