4 EPIROS cheese products were awarded with the highest distinction at the “DLG Awards 2022”

 

Four EPIROS products received the Gold award from the leading German Quality Certification Organization DLG, during the DLG Awards 2022, highlighting once again the high level of quality, taste and innovation that characterizes the EPIROS brand.

The traditional EPIROS Original Feta PDO, EPIROS Organic Feta PDO, EPIROS Greek Goat Cheese with its spicy, peppery taste, as well as the handmade EPIROS Talagani, made from 100% Greek sheep and goat milk, were distinguished, after an organoleptic test, for their appearance, consistency, smell, taste, labeling, and packaging. It is worth noting that all four products were distinguished in last year’s DLG quality competition as well.

The DLG Organization (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) was founded in 1885 and is considered a leading institution in food quality assessment in Europe.

Each year, the DLG’s scientific team, based in Frankfurt, examines more than 20,000 food products from around the world and awards only those that meet the strict quality criteria set by the Organization.

This new award, which is the 4th international distinction in a row for EPIROS products in the first half of 2022, including the Monde Selection Quality Awards 2022, Superior Taste Awards 2022, Mediterranean Taste Awards 2022, showcases the consistent quality and taste superiority of EPIROS products, placing them among the top cheese products worldwide.
