Nominate a Dairy Leader to be Recognized at 2023 PA Dairy Summit

As a dairy industry professional who enjoys the PA Dairy Summit each year, we want your help in nominating individuals for the 2023 PA Dairy Industry Awards! Last year, we recognized and announced the award winners at an evening reception during the Dairy Summit. The reception was a fun, laidback way for the dairy industry to come together and celebrate the leaders who are making an impact. We’re planning to host this awards reception again at the 2023 PA Dairy Summit, which is taking place on February 8-9, 2023 in State College. You’ll be receiving more details about the event in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, please help us nominate Pennsylvania dairy producers or industry professionals who excel in leadership, service, or innovation. The Dairy Industry Award program is hosted by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association, the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania, and the Center for Dairy Excellence, and it’s a great way to shine a light on the individuals who are making positive contributions day in and day out.

Your nominations are due by November 18, and the award winners will be announced and recognized at the PA Dairy Summit in February 2023.

Nominations are being accepted for the following three awards:

• Pennsylvania Distinguished Dairy Producer Award recognizes individual dairy producers or farm enterprises that have demonstrated superior management capabilities within their own dairy business and provide outstanding leadership and service to the dairy industry.
  
• Pennsylvania Dairy Service Award recognizes an individual who has distinguished him or herself in serving the greater interest of Pennsylvania’s dairy industry and dairy farms.
  
• Pennsylvania Dairy Innovator Award recognizes an individual or business entity that has provided tremendous innovation to progress Pennsylvania’s dairy industry toward a brighter future, either by advancing the marketplace or creating new opportunities for innovation on the farm.

Additional Information

• The industry awards are offered annually to Pennsylvania residents, and recipients will be recognized at the Pennsylvania Dairy Summit in February 2023.
• All nominations must be received by November 18, 2022 to be considered for this year’s awards.
• Nominations must include the completed application form and one letter of support outlining why the candidate is qualified to receive the award.
• Individuals who are nominated will be notified electronically in late November with a request for information due in December 2022. Selected recipients will be notified by January 2023.
• Qualified applicants stay in the nomination pool for three years after being submitted for consideration. Nominators can update the nomination each of the two years following their original submission. Once a candidate is honored as a winner in an award category, they or individuals representing them are not eligible to win in any other category for two subsequent years.
