2023 marks 10 years since CDCB assumed responsibility of calculating U.S. genetic evaluations and managing the National Cooperator Database first established by USDA AGIL. Industry meeting presenters will celebrate the advancements of the past decade and share project updates designed to serve the next decade of progress. The program kicks off at 8:00 a.m. sharp with the “Impact of the National Cooperator Database on Dairy Cattle Genetic Progress” and a 10th anniversary recognition. Midway through, a panel takes the stage to better understand undesirable genetic conditions in cattle and genomics’ role in discovery. This conversation moderated by Neal Smith, American Jersey Cattle Association, will include diverse perspectives from panelists:

The meeting wraps with a look to the future, through current research being conducted at AGIL, at CDCB, and funded by CDCB at institutions across the country.
