CDCB: Prepare for New Traits

Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding

The April 7, 2026, evaluation run is shaping up to be big one! While new traits and refinements to female reproductive performance traits are not yet confirmed for April, the industry and producers are encouraged to start learning more about these future tools.

For collaborators, updates to data formats associated with these future changes are available in Redmine. The inclusion of these new traits and changes to existing traits in the April run will be confirmed no later than February 24. An announcement will be made as soon as the test run and review is complete and a plan is confirmed.
