Apply to be a Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador

For over 55 years, the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador program has been shaping young leaders, empowering them to make a difference in their communities through service, promotion and education. These ambassadors are more than just representatives — they are role models, mentors and passionate advocates for 4-H across the state.

Hailing from diverse backgrounds and representing a wide range of 4-H projects and programs, ambassadors bring energy and enthusiasm to everything they do.

Over the course of their one-year term, they take the lead in planning and facilitating impactful programming for Minnesota youth. They don’t just talk about leadership — they live it.

State Ambassadors meet in person four times a year to sharpen their leadership skills, collaborate as a team and design meaningful experiences for middle and high school youth.

They take center stage at major leadership events like BLU and YELLO, where they inspire and educate their peers through engaging learning sessions.

Beyond events, they connect with the 4-H community through initiatives like the statewide service challenges and the Cloverchat podcast, using their voices to spark change and foster growth.

Information sessions and how to apply

If you’d like more information before applying, the 4-H State Ambassadors advisors, along with a few of the State Ambassadors, will be hosting two different information sessions:

• Thursday, March 19 at 8 p.m.- Register for the March session.
• Monday, April 6 at 8 p.m. – Register for the April session.
