The highly anticipated August 2026 evaluation run is complete! This run not only introduces three new traits – First Service to Conception (FSC), Resistance to Diarrhea (DIA), and Resistance to Respiratory Disease (RSP) – but

also includes major revisions to legacy female reproductive traits – Daughter Pregnancy Rate (DPR), Cow Conception Rate (CCR), Heifer Conception Rate (HCR), and Early First Calving (EFC). Details outlining these traits and insights on additionally effected traits are available in this summary.

The CDCB team wants to thank and congratulate all those involved in the successful completion of this monumental evaluation run. A special thank you to the team at USDA AGIL for the initial development of the new calf health traits, to the industry for the feedback that led to the foundational review of female reproductive performance traits, and to the producers who stepped up to the plate and began sharing calf health data as these new traits launch. The strength of the U.S. system comes from each of you alongside the highly talented team of geneticists, researchers, data analysts, and others at CDCB who work to provide the dairy community with transparent, high-quality genetic evaluations.
