CCFN Secures Favorable “Feta” Outcome in India

CCFN

Back in 2018, CCFN opposed a trademark application in India, which included the term ‘feta’, to ensure that the term remained free to use. While the examination procedure faced disruptions amidst the global pandemic, the Consortium and its local legal counsel diligently pursued the matter once regular operations resumed.

This year, on June 6th, CCFN was notified that the IP authority declared the application abandoned. This favorable outcome contributes to the continued free use of the term ‘feta’ in the Indian market.
