Select Sires announced June 1 that five of its six member organizations will unite to become Select Sires Cooperative to take effect as early as July 2022. According to President and CEO Dave Thorbahn in this interview with Joel Hastings of DairyBusiness News, local service will be retained but the new structure will provide operational savings to be invested in research and development. Member patronage will be rolled into the new cooperative and current staff will become employees of the national organization.
