“Resiliency is about anticipating change and building systems that adapt,” noted Carl Jones, Plant Sciences Director, Mars, during the opening keynote at The Center for Food Integrity’s (CFI) recent event.
CFI brought together leaders from across the food system at the Missouri Botanical Gardens on Oct. 23 for the forum “Innovating for a More Resilient Food System.” Discussions throughout the day sparked thoughtful reflection and practical ideas on how organizations can not only withstand disruption, but build forward with purpose and trust.
Throughout the day, participants shared powerful insights on:
- Making resilience measurable: defining metrics that help pilot and scale innovation.
- Investing in relationships: building trust across growers, suppliers, and retailers to reduce risk and strengthen response.
- Centering people and consumers: ensuring transparency and clarity in how we communicate innovation, science, and technology.
- Recognizing that resilience is the bridge between innovation and everyday reliability.
Membership means more! Insightful events with the opportunity to connect with leaders from across the food system is just one of the benefits of CFI Membership.
