What is Let’s Eat Week?

Nearly 48 million Americans—including more than 14 million children— lived in food-insecure households in 2024, according to the latest USDA data. At Chobani we believe every child, every day, should hear the words, “let’s eat.” In honor of UN World Food Day on October 16, Chobani hosts Let’s Eat Week, an annual initiative that brings employees, brand partners and community organizations together through volunteering, partnership and education to help make good food more accessible.

Since launching in 2023, Let’s Eat Week has grown from a companywide volunteering initiative into a broader effort across other businesses and partners to nourish the communities where we live and work.

Why it Matters

No single company can solve food insecurity alone. But together can help make good food a little more accessible to those who need it most.

What happens during Let’s Eat Week?

  • Food donations: 14,000 boxes of nutritious pantry staples, along with fresh produce and meals, will be donated to 90+ nonprofit partners across communities including New York City, Central New York, Philadelphia, Norton Shores, Michigan and Twin Falls, Idaho.
  • Community events: Employees and partners will participate in 45+ events, volunteer activities and other activations across 15+ cities and 4 countries.
  • La Colombe activations: La Colombe cafés will host employee volunteer events and donate 10% of café sales on October 16 to a hunger-focused nonprofit.
