Wednesday, August 29 at Door County Co-Op in Sturgeon Bay
The purpose of the testing is to check the whole plant moisture level of the corn and determine the optimal harvest date. To participate in the testing, please bring 4-5 stalks of corn with you, bundled and tagged. Please include variety, relative maturity, and planting date. The sample should be a representative sample of your entire field. The samples will be delivered to the lab for testing. Samples delivered the day before will not be tested. There is no charge for the testing, and there is a limit of two free samples per farm. There will be a $12 charge for additional samples. Nitrate testing is also available for $9. Payment will be due when samples are delivered.
