Dairy One hosts Spring Planting Clinic

Dairy One

Join us March 8 and March 10 to rethink the way you plant this season!

The corn planter is a key point of influence in crop performance. Timing and placement of crop nutrition, seeding depth, and the seed varieties used are all key factors in obtaining optimum feed qualities. Join us for discussion and demonstration of ways to rethink planting this season.

Dairy One and Precision Planting have partnered with Dairy Management LLC at Cornell Ruminant Center and other industry leaders in a 3-year study to evaluate the process of generating high yielding corn silage with a goal of increased milk production. Chris Creek of Precision Planting will share highlights from the first year of this study and practical management practices that can affect your yields this planting season.

In addition to Chris’s talk, there will be a number of displays and demonstrations including but not limited to:

  • Dairy One seed meter calibration trailer
  • Precision Planting row unit
  • Low MuTech biological seed treatment
  • GBGI planter parts
  • Yield 360

Planting clinics will take place on March 8 in Henrietta, NY, and March 10 in Cortland, NY. The clinics will begin at 9 am and conclude at 12 pm with lunch. Attendance is free! For more details and to register visit dairyone.com/planterclinics
