The future of farming relies on innovative solutions that support sustainable, profitable growth. Sustainable food production is foundational to DeLaval’s overall vision to innovate dairy farming, which is evident through DeLaval’s key talking points during the event on the National Mall:
- Milk Sustainability Center: For the first time ever, two well-known names in farming and dairying, John Deere and DeLaval, have joined efforts to create the MSC. This cloud-based digital ecosystem will help dairy farmers improve the efficiency and sustainability of their operations by providing a holistic overview of field and herd data. On Wednesday, May 8, spokespeople from DeLaval and John Deere will be available for joint interviews at the event.
- Herd Management With AI Technology: Dairy farmers now have access to innovative tools to help make herd management decisions that directly influence the sustainable production of milk. DeLaval’s new data sensor solution using AI, Behavior Analysis, is DeLaval’s newest sustainability initiative, delivering real-time cow behavior information to the farmer. Behavior Analysis is also being featured in Washington, D.C. at the Embassy of Sweden’s new exhibition, Artificial Intelligence IRL: How Sweden is putting AI to good use, recognizing DeLaval’s innovation in the dairy industry along with its Swedish roots.
- From Calf to Cup: For more than 140 years, DeLaval has been helping farmers produce safe, quality milk. Over the years, many innovations have been introduced to improve cows’ milking performance and ensure they stay healthy. From ID systems and milk sampling for disease or pregnancy detection to herd management software, automated body condition scoring and AI technology to predict health outcomes of cows, there have been numerous advancements to help farmers manage the welfare of their herds and produce food more efficiently.
