Amalia Draxler of the Glenwood City FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2025-2026 President during the 96th Wisconsin FFA Convention. Her advisor is Kirsten Konder. Amalia’s parents are Mike and Rebecca Draxler.
A 2023 graduate, Draxler is a student at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, working toward a degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. Amalia is involved in the Association of Women in Agriculture there and hopes to use her experiences to continue to advocate for agriculture through a career in agricultural communications.
Amalia’s supervised agricultural experience project has grown through her years working on her family dairy farm. While she started out doing basic, but necessary, physical labor tasks like cleaning barns, she has continued to take on new responsibilities, learning about health administration, nutrition management, and communications for the 1,3000 head operation.
Draxler’s desire to grow, learn and advocate did not end at her family farm or her own career aspirations. “I have witnessed firsthand how Amalia can take an ordinary FFA member to the next level,” states her advisor. “FFA is a place for students to learn, grow, find their voice, and make a difference,” says Amalia, who will work with students from across the state this year, helping them do just that
