Episodes of PDPW’s The Dairy Signal™ will feature experts in human resources, an agri-business lawyer and PhD candidates to share insights so dairy farmers can optimize the dairy’s performance. The Tues., Feb. 22, episode will provide strategies for effective employee reviews, and Wednesday’s session will discuss best practices for carbon credit contracts. Carbon credits are making headlines and generating social media buzz, but how do you know what the best option is for your farm? Learn what you need to know about contracts for carbon credit as well as what to look for and avoid in these opportunities. Episode presenter will be:

Thursday, Feb. 24

This episode of the “Rising Stars – Graduate Research Showcase” will shed light on research to develop methods that assess individual animal feed efficiency on commercial dairy farms. Their work to measure individual animal feed intake and body weight could help producers select for more efficient cows and cow lines. Episode presenters will be:
