Farm Credit East and Crop Growers Host Dairy Risk Management Webinar

Farm Credit East and Crop Growers, LLP are hosting a webinar on available dairy risk management options on Friday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Dairy farmers and other interested parties are invited to participate in this free webinar.

Signups are set to begin June 17 for the new USDA Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program that was included in the 2018 Farm Bill. This webinar will discuss both DMC as well as risk management options available through crop insurance providers like Crop Growers, LLP, such as Dairy Revenue Protection (Dairy-RP) and Livestock Gross Margin Insurance Dairy Cattle (LGM-Dairy).

Presenters for this webinar will be Tristan Peterson, Crop Growers Northeast Marketing Agent, and Jenifer Dean from the USDA. They will discuss the programs and producers’ options to develop a sound dairy risk management plan, review several coverage strategies and address attendee questions.
