FARM Version 2028: Proposed Changes and How to Weigh In

Join the National Dairy FARM Program at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 7 for its webinar on what to expect as Version 2028 takes shape. Speakers will review of the program’s history and governance structure, outline the current development timeline and walk through the proposed updates for Animal Care and Workforce Development.
The session will also explain how dairy farmers and other industry stakeholders can shape the future of the FARM Program by participating in the process, including how to submit comments and share feedback before decisions are finalized.
SPEAKERS
Steven Roche is the Founder and CEO of ACER Consulting, and has a vision for improving animal health through applied research and creative communication. ACER is driven by his passion and interdisciplinary skill set, which blends epidemiological research, agricultural extension, and health promotion. His mission is to develop and deliver evidence-based solutions to motivate on-farm change, and improve animal health and welfare.
Steven earned his PhD in epidemiology from the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. His research explored novel approaches to improve the adoption of on-farm management practices to control Johne’s disease in the Ontario dairy industry. He also holds a MSc in epidemiology and BSc in zoology from the University of Guelph.
Nicole Ayache leads NMPF’s sustainability strategy and oversees the FARM Program’s Environmental Stewardship and Workforce Development pillars, developing tools and resources to enhance environmental and labor outcomes on U.S. dairy farms and provide supply chain assurances. She leverages her background in environmental science and expertise in value chain sustainability to advance NMPF’s efforts.
Before joining NMPF in 2018, she was a consultant for several clients in the food and ag sector, giving her a broad perspective on sustainability. She holds her M.S. in Agriculture, Food and Environment from Tufts University and B.S. in Biology from Yale University.
